Youthful, vibrant, high energy, varietal and new with a bouquet of fresh cherry and strawberry fruits, plums and red apples, some fine savoury and dried herb qualities and finer layers of wood and spice. Firm, taut and dry as the wine touches the palate, tannins are nicely polished and acidity delivers plenty of freshness and vigor. This wine will develop well given the chance to be in your cellar. Best drinking from 2027 through 2035+.

Intense blackberry and sweet spice with blood orange and dried cranberry flavours developing in the wings, this wine is built around its long, concentrated and compact core. Front-biased, grainy, savoury tannins give a satisfying chew to the otherwise pure and intense flavours which eventually melt into sweet red date and hibiscus on the finish. Currently quite clenched, this needs a year or two to relax, but when it does, the gushing sweet fruit will fill every space on the palate. Cellar 2026-2036

Our second “single clone” Pinot Noir release comes from the Wrekin Vineyard, showcasing one barrel of the new Dijon clone 943. The predominantly clay-based vineyard is situated amongst the hills at the end of Marlborough’s Brancott Valley. This deep red Pinot Noir has a bright, fragrant nose with dark berry aromas, some exotic, almost mandarin peal notes and a hint of dusty oak spice. The palate is complex yet with beautiful transparency, showing dense red fruit with a spine of intensity and energy. There is a fine, ripe tannin coating on the focused, long finish. An exciting single clone Pinot Noir that is complex and refined.
