“Flavoursome sauvignon blanc with gooseberry, lemon grass, mineral and a suggestion of passionfruit. The wine has good purity and a lingering finish. Strongly varietal - good food wine”

“A lovely elegant rendition made from hand-picked and whole bunch pressed grapes grown in the Middle Wairau Valley, the delicately lifted bouquet shows feijoa, green rockmelon, lime zest and subtle flinty characters. It is finely textured and linear on the palate, and delivers pristine fruit flavours together with whispering savoury undertones, brilliantly structured by mouth-watering acidity. A gorgeous food partner.”

“Nicely worked reduction across lime and grapefruit citrus. The palate rolls out super smooth and even. Bright, pithy and balanced.”

“The 2016 vintage was hand-picked and fermented to full dryness in tanks. Pale lemon/green, it is a tightly structured, aromatic, medium-bodied wine with punchy, melon and green capsicum flavours, a minerally streak and a tangy finish.”

“The 2016 La Strada Sauvignon Blanc conjures up notions of lemon and lime juice with suggestions of white pepper, dill seed and mown grass. Light-bodied with plenty of spring it it's step, it delivers a great intensity of citrus and vegetal flavors with a refreshing backbone of crisp acidity and a tangy finish.”

“Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is very fresh and bright with slightly cooler spectrum fruit, showing gooseberries, nettles, a little cut grass, and mineral notes. This is still youthful. On palate very zesty and coolish, with gooseberry, cut grass, fresh herbs along with thirst-quenching minerals. Very good fruit depth, the textures in the background, and the acidity to the fore to be mouthwatering. This is putting on richness, and evolving, albeit very slowly, and should live well. Tasted in October last year, and in better balance now”
